What do you think about this?

My husband and I have cut it down to three names Isabella Jade, Delilah Rose, or Charlotte Rose
but we have a pretty good idea what we might have her room look like
Either.

which do you like better? and why?

I love Delilah Rose! Its gorgeous and not too common! The others are nice but very common.

Here are some other variations of the names that you might like:

Lilah Rose
Lilah Rosalie
Lilah Isabelle
Delilah Jade
Delilah Isabelle
Isabelle Delilah
Bella Charlotte
Charlotte Delilah

As for the rooms, I really like the second one because its cute and not super girly or cutesy

Unique Boy Nursery Themes

What fun knowing that you have a baby boy on the way.  Now it’s time to design the nursery.  There are so many baby bedding options and nursery themes that this task can seem quite overwhelming.  It might be easiest if you pick a theme first and then find those fun accessories to pull it all together.

It seems like everyone uses sports for a little boy’s nursery.  Perhaps you might want something unique, or more expressive of your family’s decorating style.

Doggy Theme
Have you thought about a dog theme?  There are many baby bedding packages with this motif.  To make it more personal, create artwork using your actual dog.  Create a paint paw print (Better do it outside!) and frame it along with a picture of your pet.  Copy the print and make a stencil to add a border to the room.

Doggy Accessories
Add an assortment of adorable puppy stuffed animals to shelving or bookcases, and add dog-type seats or pillows to chairs.  This is a fun motif sure to last all through childhood.  The same sort of thing can be done for cats or birds or fish.

Dominoes Theme
Another excellent nursery decorating scheme is the game of Dominoes.  Black and white is known to visually stimulate infants, so the room is educational as well as tasteful!  Get black and white crib bedding, or white with black polka dots.

The walls can be painted white.  Accent one wall with black polka dots to continue this theme.

Dominoes Accessories
Look around at garage sales, thrift stores and on the Internet for vintage domino sets.  Cut the cover out and frame it.  It’s also fun to create paper dominoes and use them as matting for a framed print of your family.

Pillows can be all black and white, or polka dots.  Throw in some bright red if you want additional color in the room.

You can also adapt this for your favorite game.  Think checkers or chess or Monopoly or Chutes and Ladders and you have the start of a fun nursery.

Jungle Theme

How about a jungle theme?  Paint the walls in green tones, using curving stripes if you feel creative.  Frame pictures of wild animals from National Geographic or travel magazines.  Baby bedding of animal prints and the addition of stuffed giraffes, chimps and lions create an easy-to-do, exotic look for the nursery.

Farm Theme
Perhaps your little boy would like a farm theme in his nursery.  Paint one wall barn red, using white for the trim.  Crib bedding can be tractors or animals or just a simple golden hay color.  Add a painted fence to one wall, and frame a collage of farm tools or barnyard animals with your child’s picture in the center.  Add a few horses and cows – stuffed, of course - and your little one is enjoying the old-fashioned country life.

If you’d like to decorate on only one wall, consider painting the silhouette of a big, strong tree.  Make it a family tree, with a branch for each part of your family.  Add pictures in frames, all alike or of different green colors like leaves or one uniform bright color like a fruit or a blossom.  What a nice way to display pictures of all your loved ones in the baby nursery!  And crib bedding can pick up the colors of the “leaves” or “blossoms” for a unified look.  Add throw pillows of matching colors, and paint the trim to match.

Remember, your baby boy will be too young for many years to appreciate what decorating theme is used for his nursery or crib bedding.  You might as well make it just what you and your family would most enjoy.  Use your imagination, have a little fun, enjoy the colors and let the creative energy flow.  But most of all, enjoy the room with your new baby boy!
