What color should I paint my bedroom?

I currently have a bright green color on my walls, it's getting a little too bright for me.

I am going to be replacing my carpet with laminate light brown floors soon, so I wanted to do a full room renovation.

I want a nice, calming color, but not anything boring. My bedspread is a crazy Hawaiian print. It's blue, red, and white, so I wanted to kind of coordinate w/ that, because right now, my walls are too bright for my new bedspread.

Whatever it is, make sure it isn't a dark color that absorbs light. My bedroom is a blue tint, but it is on the dark side and I can't get much natural light to fill my room. The same goes for artificial light. I recommend Ralph Lauren Eggshell. Blue is considered a calming color, supposedly when the color hits your skin it has a calming effect. Just make sure you don't end up with a dark tint.

Think of a motif that suit your passion and fashion. Would you like simple patterns like stripes or floral designs? If you love nature, pick up a plant with large leaves and find the right corner for it. Get a bedspread with large green leaves design and try to be consistent with the color scheme. Just make sure the bedding fabric feels the most comfortable. Green would complement well with orange and white colors.

Bear in mind that the bedding makes a longer impression to anyone because it is the first thing that people see when they walk into your room. Whatever style you prefer, choose the right bedding that provides a solid base to decorate around.
