From Hoffman
We are all concerned with the welfare of our body, soul and spirit. In fact, no day passes without at least one customer ask me what you can do to get healthier. I explained that there are several ways to be healthier and happier, but the simplest is merely to give. Give unconditionally and no expectations. If you can do .... You'll be much happier and when you're happy, your health is reaping the fruit.
We all talk the season of giving, but we give ... .. our families, our lovers .... our friends. I am repeatedly asked me this question .... They are our friends and family more worthy of our donations to the stranger on the street who is down and out and really need help?
I have given the poor season and charity more than a holiday instead of buying gifts for my family who were immersed in a drawer. People in need have been very happy. But my family ... not so much.
I is not neglecting our families .... But do we really need all that we? I doubt it. So here's my proposal of the holiday season: giving something of value to someone in need. This "something" can be a smile, a warm gesture or word of encouragement. It could be some food or something that is valuable to them in their time of need. I encourage everyone to give just one or two people this holiday season and that they are foreigners and can not benefit in any way. See how you feel .... See how you feel about the holiday.
I saw this quote on a community page, and he was faithful to me - I want to share with you .... Sharon Salzberg and thanks for your special vision.
"A single act of giving has a value beyond than you can imagine. Much of the spiritual is expressed and give: love, , Sympathetic joy, compassion, equanimity, fail to understand, aversion, and illusion. "
To give is powerful. Therefore, the Buddha said that if he knew it, power to give, we will not let a single meal pass without sharing some. Sharing food is a metaphor to give. When someone offers you food, do not offer the person something to eat, we gving much. It gives us the strength, health, beauty, clarity of mind, and even life, for none of these things would be possible without food. So when we eat another, that's what we offer: things of life itself.
