Squares Quilt

To make a carpet instead of standard size, as many pre-cut 4 "squares of quilting fabric that I need?

I'm New Quilter. I want to make a standard size of a square mat (with Nine Patch Design). The fabric I use is pre-cut into 4 "square. How many square I need for each tablecloth?

I'm a little confused as to whether to use the 4 "square that has solid pieces in the blocks 9 patches, or want to cut into squares small to use as evidence in the 9 patch blocks. If you used the 4 "square also, as is (9) Documents needed for a 9-block of the review if really want to have space for a 9-block review of the place mat with a rest room for a border, maybe! (... Each 9-patch block is close 10.5 inches "3.5" x 3 = 10.5). But I think that's what you want. ... If you want to do this if it can be expanded by adding more blocks (or blocks probably biased Simply cut to size) to that - or easier, just add a border of fabric around the entire unit to carry the size you want. Thus if you want to use more than one block (9-patch) for your carpet, you'll have to cut every 4 "block into small pieces and then use each of these blocks. For example, if you cut the 4 "square on four 2" squares, 9 of them (like a 9-patch block), would end a 4.5 "unit of the square, if my calculation is correct, if you can use 6 of these 9 - revision blocks (in a grid of 3 x 2) to set a table that is 13.5 "wide and 9" height. It is best to remove the graph paper and see what fits and what does not. Using graph paper, will always be * without * the 1 / 4 "seam on each side of each good piece of cloth ... and add them to actually cut. What seemed confused, but thought I should add. Diane B.
